L-Citrulline is one of the three amino acids in the Urea cycle (other 2 are L-Arginine and L-Ornithine) L-Citrulline turns into L-Arginine after absorption. Approximately 83% of orally ingested citrulline appears to be taken up by the kidneys where it is converted into L-Arginine.
